I like your action plan. I completely agree that HTHNC is the perfect place to experiment. All the teacher are totally supportive of that. I definitely agree that you need to get students to work with people they wouldn't normally work with, which you really need to do there. They have all their classes together and they definitely have formed their cliques. Good luck this semester. It's an amazing place to work at.
I agree with Sharon that your action plan is a good idea. You're at a school that will completely support you and your ideas. This is our time to experiment with new ideas, so I think this is a good time to do so. Good job!
I like your plan to try to incorporate more group work during your student teaching. That is also a goal of mine. To me, it seems harder to use lots of group work methods in a math class, but I hope to find ways that work and are engaging for the students. Good luck!
